Norcal Update!

AHS CTE DECA!

We have an update for the NorCal Career Development Conference that is scheduled for January. We also have updates for future conferences in 2021.

The California Department Of Education along with the California DECA Board of Directors considered the general health safety guidelines along with the Alameda county's department of public health to reach a final decision about all January 2021 conferences. This means that all district-level conferences (NorCal CDC, SoCal CDC, Silicon Valley CDC) will be 100% virtual this January.

As for the International Conference this April in Anaheim, it is too early to make a decision, but it will also likely be hybrid.

This is definitely not the best-case situation, ideally, we would've preferred 100% in-person conferences. But given the circumstances, we are extremely lucky to have some type of conferences this year, whether virtual or hybrid.

Alameda County, Santa Clara County, as well as L.A./Orange County guidelines will be closely monitored to provide a better understanding of the situation as we get closer to conferences. We will also try our best to give you updates and registration paperwork as soon as we receive it.
